Connecting your tap controller to your home WiFi lets you monitor and manage the settings from anywhere with internet access. You'll be able to see when it watered, and temperature information and alerts (great for an early warning of a frosty night!).
You don't need a separate hub (like many other wifi-enabled tap controllers). The Harvst tap controller connects directly to your WiFi network.
Step 1 : Configuration mode
- Press and hold the button on the front until it starts flashing, then let go.
- On your phone, go to WiFi settings and connect to the "Harvst-tap-xxxx" network. This network does not have internet access, that's OK. If your phone asks you to connect anyway, choose yes.
- Once you're connected to the tap controller's WiFi network (Harvst-tap-xxxx), open a web browser (Safari, Chrome etc) and type the following IP address into the address bar (not the search field) : http://192.168.4.1
Step 2 : Configure WiFi
- Click "Wifi settings". The unit will scan for local networks.
- Choose your WiFi network by pressing it.
- Enter the password at the bottom of the screen and save.
A successful connection is indicated by a quick flickering of the green light.
A failed connection is indicated by two red flashes. Try again.
