The WaterMate irrigation system supports two separate zones. Each zone can be set up to water in different ways.
Settings are changed either using the Device Control Panel, or the web app.

Automatic watering using a timer
The simplest approach for automatic watering is a timer system.
Two timed periods per day are supported, from 1 second upwards.
A typical place to start is 1 or 2 minutes in the morning and 1 or 2 minutes in the evening - you’ll see what works best for your plants with some experimentation.
Automatic watering using temperature
On a hot day, plants will want more water. WaterMate can deliver an extra dose of water, using the temperature settings. You can add the temperature boost onto a timer schedule.
Why won't it water?
See the WaterMate troubleshooting article.
Frost protection / cold weather
The system will never pump automatically when the air temperature is below 2 degrees C, regardless of any other settings.
Additionally, you can choose to turn off pumping below your own threshold, to prevent soaking plants in cold water. Choose the threshold temperature setting on the web app (for online devices) or the Device Control Panel.
The default setting is 8 degrees C.
