If your WaterMate control unit is configured in online mode (connected to your home WiFi), you can monitor and manage it when you are away from home.
You will use the Web App for remote control. The Device Control Panel is only available when you are on the same WiFi network as the control unit.
Ensure that:
- The control unit is configured in online mode. Click here to see how.
- You have a web app account (https://grow.harvst.co.uk)
- You have assigned the control unit to your account. Click here to see how.
The web app is a view of the Harvst cloud (a web site on the internet). The control unit will send data to the cloud every 30 minutes*.
Viewing data
Latest data can be seen on the web app. When you log in to your web app, and view the dashboard for that device, you can see when it last contacted the Harvst server.
Remote control
Since most control units (solar powered) are asleep most of the time, you cannot control it instantly. Any changes you make on the web app will be picked up by the control unit at the next 30 minute interval.
This includes the "remote boost" feature, which allows you to give an extra dose of water to either watering zone. Note that only one command is picked up each 30 minute cycle, so to boost both zones, it can take up to an hour.
* Not always on the hour or half hour. Each control unit has a different sending time within the hour.
