The H-series grow lights are managed by an independent control board which is mounted on the back of each growing level. This controller also handles the humidity and temperature sensor, and fans.
Setting the correct level
Each grow level controller needs a unique ID. Use the mini switches on the back of the control board to set either 1, 2 or 3. Turn ON the switch for that tier (eg "2") and the others OFF.
When operating normally, the light control board will flash blue.
When a sensor has failed, or no sensor is connected, the control board will flash alternately blue/red.
Connections
The light control board has two 12V outputs for grow lights (2.1mm DC socket), able to power a total of 3 Amps across both outputs.
The board also has two outputs for 12V Harvst fans, able to provide 3 Amps across both outputs.
LED not flashing, or grow lights not working?
Sometimes the light control board does not turn on cleanly. If it's not turned on cleanly, the LED won't be flashing on the board.
If your H series has ever detected the board before, you will see "Level 1 /2 /3" on the Device Control Panel, with information about that level's control board. If there is a fault, the main control board will turn the light control board off and on again until it has recovered.
If you get the lights turning off and on again every 30 seconds, the system is doing an "hBus reset" which will power cycle the light control board. The screen will show "hBus fault, restarting". See H-series troubleshooting.
If your light control board has never been found (you won't see "Level 1/2/3" on the Device Control Panel), you may need to perform a clean reset:
Turn on the power supply before plugging the power cable into the system. While plugging in, watch the light control board. If it does not start flashing within 2 seconds of plugging in the power, unplug, wait a second, then plug back in again.
