This page is for version 1 H-series light brackets. See this article for the current (v2) version.
Parts required
- 2.5mm allen key
- 4x M4 * 12mm bolt
- 4x white plastic spacer
- 4x M4 spring washer
- 2x light bracket assembly
- 4x rubber O-ring
- 2x grow light tube (one pair)
- 1x long light power cable (yellow ends, 740mm)
Fit the brackets to the side panels
Bolt the light brackets to the inner sides of the side panels as shown in the drawing below. Fitting sequence:
- Bolt
- Spring washer
- Light bracket
- Plastic spacer
- Side panel
Tighten the bolts securely, but not overly tight. The light bracket is designed to be movable, to allow the lights to be high or low.
Note that some models are fitted with light brackets which can take two pairs of light tubes for more growing capability.
Fit the O-rings to the light tubes
Slide 4x o-rings over each pair of lights, so that an o-ring sits by each white plastic cap. These will be used to fit the lights to the brackets.
Fit the lights to the brackets
- Using the o-rings, fit the lights under the brackets. The power lead from the lights should be positioned at the rear left.
- Feed the light cable through the 12mm hole next to the light control board (behind the upper rear panel), and plug into one of the two black sockets. Either is fine.
If you have more than one grow level (an H2 or H3 model), then set the switches as follows:
- H1 level (bottom) : "1" up only.
- H2 level : "2" up only.
- H3 level : "3" up only.

Connect the power cable
- Plug one end of the light power cable (yellow ends) into the control unit. It will only go in one way.
- Run the cable out through the hole in the rear panel.
- Run the cable up the channel, and plug the other end into the lower socket on the light control board.
If you have extension modules (H2 or H3 model), jump to the Extension module section now, to add further levels. Return to the following two steps later (fitting the upper front and rear panels). They will fit to your top extension side panels.
